Welcome to our services today!

10.00am Every Sunday - Morning prayer for our services. 

All welcome.

10.45am   Morning Service

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall.  If you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available.  Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00pm – Evening service

Large print copies of the song words and notice sheets are available on request from the door stewards.

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it. 

Memory Verse for the Week commencing 14/5/07

Spring Harvest

There are now 3 weeks before we have to book for 2008!  If you are interested in attending Spring Harvest 2008, please speak to Helen about booking or for more information asap.  Helen will need to hear from you by Sunday 3rd June.

Traidcraft - after the service today

There will be a Traidcraft stall held after the morning service today – time to stock up on your fair-trade goods and “traffik-free” chocolate.  If you are able to help out with the Traidcraft stall on a rota basis, Bex would love to hear from you.

Special Church Meeting

Please would you take the time to read the notice on the back board about the roles of deacons, and church rules regarding deacon election.  Please note there will be a church meeting on Monday 4th June at 8pm as per the motion voted for at the Annual Church Meeting.

Geoff and Marilyn

PSBC and WEBA are holding a leaving party for Geoff and Marilyn on Saturday 30th June.  There will be a service here at 3pm, followed by a buffet tea.  A large number of people from across the country are expected to attend and the invitation is also extended to members of PSBC.  If you would like to join in saying farewell to Geoff and Marilyn, please sign your name on the sheet at the back, so we have a clearer idea of numbers.  Also, if you would like to contribute by providing a plate of sandwiches, cake, light snacks etc. please indicate that on the form as well.  Thank you.

Prayer Requests

The Oversight Team prayer meeting is on Saturday 19th May.  If you have any prayer requests, please pass them to Graham or one of the elders before the meeting.

Joint Housegroup

The next joint housegroup evening will be on Wednesday 23rd May at 7.30pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend – you do not need to be attending a housegroup to come along for the evening.

Food Pantry

The food pantry has been blessing many people recently and is in urgent need of replenishing.  Please see the posters on the boards about current requirements.  Thank you for all your on-going contributions.

Work Party

Thank you - to everyone who took part in the work party yesterday, helping to upkeep the church building and graveyard.

Concert for India

You are invited to a concert raising support for the Mathieson Music Trust at Station Hill Baptist Church, on Wednesday 23rd May, at 7.30pm.  The Trust provides a school for children of all faiths in Calcutta for children coming from very poor backgrounds, and one of the young people from Station Hill will be spending her gap year with the school in Calcutta.  Some of you may remember Rachel who used to attend here with her mother.  Please see the poster on the board for more details.

Junior Church

Calling all teachers who have not returned their CRB forms.  There are still 4 outstanding forms to be returned!  Please could you complete them and make an appointment with Graham asap so we can send them off – you know who you are!! Thank you to all those who have responded so far.

Lost Property

There are umbrellas on the rack and also some coats in the entrance porch.  Please have a look and take your items home again.

Can you help?

Dave and Monique require some assistance on Monday evenings – either someone (with CRB clearance) to sit for 1 1/2 hours with the children or someone to run one of their children to and from the Olympiad in Chippenham while Monique is running the new Alpha Plus course.  If you might be able to help, please speak to Monique or Dave.

Priory Street Cricket Match

The Priory Street cricket match will be played on Friday 8th June at Melksham cricket pitch by Melksham House.  Please arrive by 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.  Could those who have indicated they can play, please confirm availability.  All are welcome to come and watch and support the team!  If anyone needs directions of where the pitch is, please see Dan.

Housegroups meet in various homes during the week in Corsham, Gastard, Rudloe & Chippenham.  Please contact Graham or the church office for more details.  This term we are studying 1 John in our housegroups.
