Christianity Explored…

What are you doing Wednesday evenings from January 16th?  Graham would like to take the opportunity to encourage you to take part in the “Christianity Explored” course that we will be running.  “Christianity Explored” is an informal course for people who would like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics.  It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.  You won’t be asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like.  Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.

The 10 session topics are (1) Introduction, Meaning of Life; (2) Who is Jesus? Authority; (3) Why Jesus came: Sin (4) The crucifixion and atonement; (5) Grace, not works; (6) Jesus' Resurrection (7) What is a Christian? (8) Assurance; (9) Choices: King Herod; (10) Choices: Disciples. There is also study of the Church, the Holy Spirit and prayer.  It follows a similar format to the Alpha course, and the evenings will start with a meal followed by a video and discussion.

Does anyone have…

An LCD projector which can be used on the ladies’ weekend away?  Please contact Pam if you can help.

Persecuted Church

There will be prayer for the persecuted church worldwide at Audrey’s house at 7.30pm on Tuesday night.

Christmas Cards to Prisoners

If you would like to send a Christmas card to a prisoner, there are some at the back which are already addressed.  Please take one and send it off! Speak to Audrey for more details.

Traidcraft

Please note that next week, 9th December, will be the last Traidcraft stall before Christmas.

All things Christmas…

Christmas Greetings Board - If you would like to post a Christmas card from yourself to the church family at Priory Street Baptist Church, the right-hand panel on the board at the back is available for this.

Christmas Services - There are invitations on the table at the back for you to give to family/friends.  Please take a few! Audrey will be away on the 23rd Dec so if you would like to do teas/coffees/ mince pies after the Carols by Candlelight service, please speak to Louise..

Town Christmas Leaflet - If you would like to help in the distribution of the town leaflet, please take a bundle for your street. They are on a table at the back of the church.

PSBC Christmas Meal – This will be on Wed 12th Dec at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to come along.  If you would like to attend, sign up on the sheet at the back so we have a clearer idea of numbers.
