Welcome to our services today!

10.00am - Prayer for our services.  All welcome.

10.45am –Morning service

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall.  If you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available.  Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00pm – Evening service

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it.

Men’s Weekend

More than twenty of our men have been away for the weekend and are due to return later this afternoon.  Please pray for their remaining time together and for their safe journey home.

New Junior Church Structure

If you have not received your letter about your child’s new class from today, please pick it up from the table at the back.

Acoustic Café

The next Acoustic Cafe event will be held on Sunday 16th September at the Rudloe Community Centre from 3pm-7pm.  Admission is free and children are welcome.  Children aged 5-11 will be entertained with puppets, games etc.  This is a great opportunity to invite family and friends.

Prayer Chain Changes

Lizzie Morris has agreed to take over distributing prayer requests for the prayer chain team and Margaret Price will stand in when Lizzie is not available.  Their phone numbers and emails can be found in the church directory.

Prayer Ministry Meeting

There will be a Prayer Ministry team meeting this afternoon at 4pm at the home of Pam & Stuart, followed by tea and cake.

Request from the Treasurer

As it was the church’s financial year end on the 31st August, Chris needs all receipts for payment by today! It is still ok to give them to her but the money will now come out of the new year’s budget. 

Rudloe Tots

Rudloe Tots will be starting up again this Tuesday the 11th September, however they are short of team members.  If anyone is interested in serving in this area of church life, or would like to find out what is involved, please speak to Christine.

Wedding Blessing

The wedding blessing of Martin and Cathy will be held at Priory Street Baptist Church on Saturday 22nd September at 11am with Graham Culver officiating.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Tuesday Lunch Club

Wendy and Michael have decided with much regret that they will be unable to continue running the Tuesday Lunch Club, owing mainly to increased family responsibilities.  There will therefore be no TLC lunches this autumn. Discussions are taking place about ways in which the ministry of the church to our older folk might continue to develop, maybe in other ways.  Anyone who has ideas, or who is interested in contributing to this discussion, please have a word with Alan C. 

Housegroup Material

The new material for this term’s housegroup meetings (“Soul Songs”) is now available at the back of the church.  Please pop your money into the little red box (£3 per book).  Housegroup co-ordinators will receive their own copies from the office.

The Bible Overview Course

Matt and Sue Wingrave will be running the Matthias Media Course that presents an easy-to-understand overview of the whole Bible and helps you understand the unfolding story of God’s relationship with the world.

The course will be presented in only four sessions starting at 8:00pm at the church.

Session one – General Presentation – Wed 3rd October

Session two – Old Testament Presentation – Wed 17th October

Session three – New Testament Presentation – Wed 31st October

Session four – Methods for studying the Bible – Wed 14th November

This course is designed for all abilities, so whether you are just learning about the Bible or are more knowledgeable, and you want to get an overview of the entire Bible in only four evenings, this course is for you!

The course will cost £2.50 to cover the cost of materials and will be for a maximum of 15 people only.

Housegroups meet in various homes during the week in Corsham, Gastard & Chippenham.  This term, we will be studying “Soul Songs” from the Psalms.  Speak to Graham if you would like to join a housegroup.   Please note that there will be no joint housegroup meeting this autumn.  The next joint group will be on the 12th December when we will share a Christmas meal together.
