Summer Services Newsletter

29th July 2007

 10.00am - Prayer for our services.  All welcome.

10.45am   Morning Service

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall. If  you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available.  Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00pm – Evening Service

Large print copies of the song words and notice sheets are available on request from the door stewards.

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it.

Please note  that members of church staff will be taking holidays during August.  You can continue to leave messages on the answer phone.  Graham will be away from the 13th-29th August and during that time you can contact Alan K. If you have a pastoral need, you can contact Pam.

Austria Aid Team

The aid team returned yesterday from Austria.  We thank God for the work they did out there in supporting both the refugees and the Oasis team.

A note from The Treasurer

Chris will be on annual leave until Monday 13th August. If you require petty cash or wish to donate any money, please contact Hazel.

Bible Holiday Club : 22-25 August

The Bible Holiday Club for 5-11 year olds will take place from 22-25 August, followed by a special church service on the 26th celebrating the activities which the children have been involved in.  Flyers are being given to relevant Junior Church classes this morning.  If you would like your child/ren to participate in this Holiday Club, please speak to Debbie after the service and she will ask you to complete a registration form – early booking recommended! There will be important meetings for all volunteers who are available to attend on Saturday 18th at 9.30am and Tuesday 21st August (dress rehearsal) at 8pm, both at PSBC. 

Church BBQ : 1 September

There will be a church BBQ on 1st September – weather-dependent!  It will be held at Lydiard Park as we were unable to go earlier in the summer.

Junior Church Meeting : 3 September

There will be a Junior Church meeting for all teachers and helpers on Monday 3rd September at 8pm at PSBC.  Please would everyone involved make every effort to attend the meeting as we will be discussing a range of issues concerning Junior Church.

Men’s Weekend Retreat : 7-9 September

If you have not yet done so, please return your form to Stuart if you are going on the men’s weekend.

Acoustic Café : 16 September

The next Acoustic Cafe event will be held on Sunday 16 September at the Rudloe Community Centre.  More details at the end of August.

Church Retreat : 2-4 November

There will be a church retreat on the weekend 2nd-4th November, at Lox Lane Christian Centre in Shaftesbury. Leaflets, including booking forms, are now available at the back of the church.  If you would like to go, please fill in a booking form and place it in the red box on the table.
