Welcome to our Services today!

10.00 am Every Sunday - Morning prayer for our services.

All welcome

10.45am Morning Service

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall. If you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available. Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00pm Joint Service

Large print copies of the song words and notice sheets are available on request from the door stewards.

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it.

Scripture Memory Verse for the Week commencing 22/1/07

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Rom. 12:1-2

Church Meeting

The next church meeting will be on Monday 29th January at 8pm. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Traidcraft – Today and From Here On

The young people will be selling Traidcraft items after the morning service today.

We would like to thank Helen who has faithfully been running Traidcraft for several years on behalf of the church. Helen is now stepping down from this role, and the youth would like to continue to sell Traidcraft on Sunday mornings. In order for this to happen we need someone willing to take over Helen’s role of ordering and sorting the stock and running the account. If you are interested, please speak to Graham or Helen, who will be able to give you more information.

Week of Prayer

As part of the week of prayer for Corsham Churches, there will be a joint service here this evening, starting at 6pm. The churches in Corsham will be open on a rota basis until 25th January for personal prayer. Please see the notice board at the back for full details of each church’s time for prayer.

Church Directory – Entries by today please!

The deadline for submitting your address, phone and email details for the new church directory is today. If we have not received updated details from you, we will use your existing entry from the old directory. Update forms are available at the back of the church. Please return them to Louise or Debbie.

Joint Housegroup

The next joint housegroup evening will be on Wednesday 7th February. Please note the new start time is 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for the meal and time together - you do not need to be attending a housegroup to come along.

Spring Harvest

There may be some spare accommodation available for Spring Harvest 07. If you would like to go and have not yet booked, please speak to Helen today or as soon as possible. Helen would like all final payments for Spring Harvest 2007 to be paid to her by 4pm on Saturday 27th January. .

Prayer Chains

If anyone would like to join either an email or telephone prayer chain, please get in touch with Geoff. Regular prayer for one another is a great blessing and support.

KS2 Praise Party

The Key Stage 2 Praise Party is taking place on Saturday 10th Feb between 6:30 and 8pm. Invitations to the evening with more details will be posted to all the registered Key Stage 2 children in the next week. Please complete and return the permission slip if your child would like to come along and join in the fun!

!Youth Matters! – News from Alanna

If you would like to host the youth group on a Sunday evening, there is a sign up rota on the board at the back of the church. If you are interested, but have not hosted before, have a chat to Graham or Alanna first. See Alanna’s newsletter on the boards.

Men’s Curry Night – All men welcome

Dave is organising a men’s curry night out on 8th February. If you would like to go, please contact Dave or Gary, so the restaurant can be given numbers.

Barn Dance Evening – Friday 9th February, 7.30-10pm

This evening is hosted by The Corsham Area Churches. Tickets are available from Louise at the Church Office, at £3 for adults, and £1.50 for children. Please see poster for more details.

New Job?

There are two vacancies at a care home in Chippenham for adults with learning disabilities. The positions are for support workers, one full-time and one part-time. Please contact Mrs. Palmer for full details. Mrs Palmer is the manager of the home, and has worshipped here with us during the last year.
