Welcome to our Sunday services!

10.00am Every Sunday - Morning prayer for our services. All welcome

10.45am Morning Worship with Junior Church and crèche.

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall. If you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available. Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00pm Evening Service

Large print copies of the song words are available on request from the door stewards.

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it.

Prayer Focus this week:

As World Aids Day (Dec 1st) approaches, we join with Christians around the world to pray for those suffering from the effects of Aids on their lives and those of their families. Please pray specifically for the Bulabakula Orphanage run by Africa Greater Life Mission in Uganda where Pastor Joshua cares for over 100 Aids orphans, and for guidance and protection for Monique as she is preparing to spend time at, and take children’s resources to, the orphanage next week.

Austria Aid Trip 25 Nov - 1 Dec

A huge thank you to Cathy, Edna, and Sue for co-ordinating and sorting the clothing. Cathy would like to thank everyone for the great quality of the clothing.

The van left on Saturday, and the team will be spending this week serving with members of International Teams at the Oasis Centre. Please pray for Christine as she leads the team, that the team will be a blessing to the Oasis staff and that their energies will lighten the load for that week. Pray for their time spent with the refugees – for meetings and conversations to be led and directed by God. There is a prayer sheet on the notice board. Please take time to sign up to pray for the team next Friday/Saturday during their return journey.

Baptism

There will be a baptismal service next Sunday. If anyone else is interested in being baptised, please contact Graham (or Alanna for the young people) as soon as possible.

Joint Housegroup Christmas Meal – 13th December

We are looking for up to 9 volunteers to help with setting up, serving and clearing up. If you would like to help, please speak to Debbie or Louise. We are also asking that people sign up on the sheet at the back of the church if they want to attend the meal so we can get a clearer idea of numbers for catering purposes. Thank you.

Town Christmas Card

It is time once again to deliver the town Christmas card to all the homes in Corsham. This card gives details of all the churches’ services this Christmas. We are having a short time of prayer for Corsham before going out to deliver some of the cards this Friday (1st December). Please join us for this if you are free between 1 and 3pm on Friday.

BMS Christmas Cards

This is the last week the Baptist Union Christmas Cards will be available to buy. Please take a look at the selection at the back of the church. The profits from these sales go to the Baptist Missionary World Fund. All packs are priced and payment can be made into the box provided, cheques payable to PSBC.

New Church Directory

We will be printing a new directory shortly. In order to ensure we have correct details for everyone, please could you all complete the enclosed form and leave it in the box provided at the back of the church. Thank you.

Mission to Romania

We have an opportunity to send a short term mission team to Romania in the summer of 2007 with International Teams. The IT Mission in Timisoara have asked if we could send a team of between 6 and 8 folk for a 2 week period, from 11th-25th July, starting on a Wednesday so that you can participate in a village ministry from Saturday to Saturday. This would mean living in the village, getting involved in outreach, children’s work, building repair, and whatever else we are asked to do! I realise this is not everyone’s cup of tea - it will be a challenge, but also a tremendous blessing. If you are interested, speak to Alan Kember or Graham who would love to talk this through more with you.

Christmas Hampers

This year we would, once again, like to make up some hampers as a way of showing God’s love to those in our congregation who might appropriately be blessed in this way. If you would like to contribute, we will, from next week, make a box available at the back of the church to take donations. We will continue until the 10th December after which the money will be used to purchase items to make up the hampers and given out to people just before Christmas.

Crusaders Youth Group

Don’t forget to donate your old games and activities to Crusaders youth group!

Quiet Day for Advent at the Harnhill Centre (near Cirencester).

Thursday 7th December 10am to 4pm. "Travelling to Bethlehem" with Rev. Judy Howard. Taking time out to be quiet with God as you prepare for Christmas.

Margaret is planning to go to this - if anyone else would like to go too and needs a lift, please contact her.
