“He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” Mark 7:37b
Prayer Focus this week: This week as we remember the veterans and victims of World Wars I and II, pray also for those in the armed forces who are still fighting for peace today.
Austria Aid Trip 25 Nov - 1 Dec
Thank you to everyone who has donated towards the purchase of shower shoes – we now have enough money in this fund to bless the Oasis team with nearly 200 pairs of shoes.
Well done to Cathy’s Key Stage 2 Junior Church group who raised just over £200 for shower shoes with their sponsored stay-awake. If you would like to donate to the Austria fund, we are still collecting funds for the cost of the trip, for which we have approximately £150 of the £800 required. Please pray and consider whether this is a way you could contribute to showing God’s love to those in need in this way.
WE ALSO NEED MORE MEN’S CLOTHES!!
Please ask your friends, neighbours, and relations if they have men’s clothes they can donate, reminding them that we do not need children’s and ladies’ clothes (except long ladies’ skirts and maternity clothes).
The team are still running their banana box competition and will be needing more boxes this week for the clothes coming in. They say “May we kindly request that the banana boxes you bring in are: sturdy, deep and have full lids…they need to be easy to carry and pack. … Nice prize for the winner … and no, it won’t be a box of bananas!!”.
If anyone would like to help with the sorting of the clothing, please speak to Cathy or Sue. Team Training dates for the Aid Trip are:
Monday 13th and Monday 20th November.
Lunch Club – this Tuesday
This Tuesday our older folks and guests will be meeting for lunch and a time of fellowship together, from 12 midday.
Please pray for …
Ian and Anne as they travel up to Nottingham this weekend. Ian’s father is critically ill and the family has been advised to go up and see him. Can you pray for peace over George and that God would touch the whole family with His comfort and presence at this difficult time.
Can anyone help?
Is anyone in the church able to help set up a data base application? If you can, please speak to Graham, Debbie or Louise. Many thanks.
Men’s Night Out
Dave is organising a men’s curry night in January. If you are interested, please speak to Dave so he can get an idea of numbers.

If anyone is interested in ordering Christmas Fairtrade items, please speak to Helen who has the Christmas catalogues.
BMS Christmas Cards
We are selling Baptist Union Christmas Cards after services for the next few weeks. The profits from these sales go to the Baptist Missionary World Fund. All packs are priced and payment can be made into the box provided, cheques payable to PSBC.
Can You Help?
A colleague of Cathy requires a Mon-Fri car parking space in Corsham. If you can help and require further details, please speak to Cathy. Thank you.
Can you donate board games to Crusaders?
With the winter months coming up, the Crusaders group are looking for indoor games for the children. If you have board games you no longer use, they would love to take them off your hands! Crusaders youth group is run by members of this church, as part of the national Crusaders youth organisation, and is provided free to the children of Corsham. The group is not run by the church and is self-funding. Please give any donations to Monique. Thank you.
