Scripture Focus:

“As a prisoner for the Lords, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” Ephesians 4:1

Prayer Focus this week: Please pray for the Rainbow Party, for a fun evening, safety and smooth running on the night. Pray this event will reflect God’s love for our community.

Rainbow Party – This Tuesday 6pm at the Town Hall

We are looking forward to a great evening with fun activities and games for the children. There are about a dozen tickets left – volunteers, remember you need to collect a ticket for your children. There are several `admin’ aspects of the party that volunteers and guests can help us with in preparing for the party: Volunteers – please complete and return your CRB declaration form, and attend the briefing meeting at 5.30pm on Tuesday at the Town Hall. Guests – please please return your registration forms to Debbie or the church before the event where at all possible – signing in the children on the night is a considerable task, and it will be much easier if we have these forms in advance. If you cannot return your forms until Tuesday evening, please phone Debbie to give her the names and ages of the children you have invited (this will save Debbie phoning all of you!). Please phone Debbie if you have taken tickets and will no longer be using them – we may have a waiting list. And finally … if you have offered to donate food for the event please call Rhiannon to make arrangements to get it to her before the event. There are still spaces to sign up for food donations on the noticeboard.

Austria Aid Trip 25 Nov - 1 Dec

Collection of the clothing starts on Wednesday, when it will be sorted and boxed ready for transporting. The team for Austria would like to ask you to help with this by collecting banana boxes from the local supermarkets and bringing them to the church.

Team Training dates for the Aid Trip are:

Thursday 2 Nov; Monday 13 Nov; Monday 20 Nov. £228 has been given towards shower mules so far – thank you. The target for a box of 120 is approx. £320. The cost of sending the van is £800 and we need to raise the funds for this too. Please pray and consider whether this is a way you could contribute to showing God’s love to those in need.

!Youth Matters!

Please take time to read Alanna’s insert in the notices this week.

Bible Sunday – today!

This is being celebrated with a joint service at 6pm, at Neston Church. The speaker will be Tony Brunn from The Gideons. There will be no evening service at PSBC tonight.

BMS Christmas Cards

Rachel will be selling Baptist Union Christmas Cards after services for the next few weeks. The profits from these sales go to the Baptist Missionary World Fund.

Condolences

Last Wednesday morning the mother of Dorothy passed away peacefully at Claremont Nursing Home. Our prayers and thoughts are with Dot, Lionel & Shirley and the rest of their family at this sad time.

Coffee Morning @ the Priors

The Priors are having a coffee morning with a Bring and Buy sale in support of Julian House on Tuesday 7th Novemeber, 10.30-12.30 at their home.

Tape Ministry

Mitch is making 2 copies of the morning service and 1 of the evening service and they are located near the door which leads into the hall on the left hand side in the tape rack – please help yourself. If any extra copies are required please ask Mitch. If you have finished with tapes you have borrowed from tape library please could you return them. Thank you.
