Welcome to our Sunday services today!

10.00 am Every Sunday - Morning prayer for our services.

All welcome

10.45 am Morning Worship with Junior Church and crèche.

After the service, prayer is available for anyone who would like to be prayed with – please make your way to the front of the church where the prayer team will meet you.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the service in the hall. If you are a visitor here today, we have a welcome leaflet available. Please ask if you have not received one.

6.00 pm Evening Service

Large print copies of the song words are available on request from the door stewards.

Hearing Loop – There is a loop system available downstairs in the centre seating block for those who need it.

Scripture Focus:

“Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions”. Hebrews 10:33-35

Prayer Focus this week:

Pray for those attending the retreat this weekend, for a touch from God, a time of fellow-ship together, and for Graham as he leads the weekend.

Rainbow Party – 31st October

Tickets and registration forms are available today from Debbie at the back of the church. You can take tickets and forms for your friends, but please remember to return them if you will not be using them. Registration forms are used to organise the activities for the evening and therefore need to be returned to Debbie before the event. Kids – don’t miss this evening of fun, games, crafts and party food for you and your friends! This is a free event – but you will need a ticket to get in! This year to keep costs down, we are looking for donations of food for the party – there is a list of the items we require on the notice-board, sign up if you can contribute.

Traidcraft Stall

The young people will be holding a Traidcraft stall at the back of the church every 3rd Sunday of the month. A wide range of products are available, including chocolate bars for after service nibbles! Profit from the stall will be saved towards youth events during the year.

Joint Housegroup

The Joint Housegroup meal this Wednesday evening starts at 7pm, and will be followed by a time of praise and worship and communion. You do not need to be a housegroup member to join us for this evening. Alan is looking for a few more volunteers to help out with washing up, serving the food and clearing up. If you can help, please contact Louise at the church office (01249 701078). Thank you

Austria Aid Trip

The Aid Trip Planning is well underway and it’s not too late to volunteer to help with the collecting and sorting of clothes – see Christine if you can help. Each year we trust God to provide the funds to send the van - van hire, ferry crossing, and fuel which will come to approx £800. We would like to make a gift of shower mules which Oasis have specifically requested for their Christmas gift packs. We would like to buy, from a wholesaler, 100-120 of these if we have sufficient funds – the cost is likely to be around £320. The team also have personal costs of accommodation, food and flights. If you would like to make a donation towards any of these costs you can use the Giving Envelopes on the noticeboard. Envelopes, marked `For Austria’ should be handed to the Treasurer, or can be handed in to the Church Office.

News from Feiolim

We have news from Feiolim and you can read all about what he is up to by taking a leaflet from the back of the church. You can also collect Feiolim’s address and a copy of his prayer requests.

World Focus

With world interest in North Korea this week, our focus is on North Korea’s number 1 position for its record of persecution of Christians – see the display at the back for more information.

BMS Christmas Cards

We will be selling Baptist Union Christmas Cards, the profits from which go to the Baptist Missionary World Fund. Is there someone who would like to take responsibility for selling the cards at Sunday services for the next few weeks? Please see Debbie or Louise if you are interested.

Other items

If anyone is interested in helping serve teas/coffees after the Sunday morning service to relieve Audrey when she is occasionally away, please contact Audrey.

There are a lot of umbrellas left in the porch. Please check if yours is there!

Delirious Concert Tour

“The mission bell” tour is taking place between 11th October and 1st November, see poster on the back notice board, or www.delirious.co.uk for tickets and more details. See Mike P about the Newport concert on 19th October.
