Arnolds Mead Update from Paul Garcia

With only a few days to go before the tenant takes occupation, there is still a lot to do and help has largely died away.

The sort of tasks that now need doing urgently are:

Complete the painting

Lay the laminate flooring in the bathroom and kitchen

Fix the kitchen unit doors and kick boards

Kitchen tiling

Coving

Fit curtain rods

Fit various door and cupboard handles

Various bits of `handyman work such as making boxing to go round pipes under the boiler, making wooden `shelf’ between end of bath and wall, etc

Pressure wash coal shed walls

Clean up all round

If you feel you can help in any way, please contact Paul Garcia.

Notice from Diane Upton

Aaran and I would like to invite everyone to our wedding service here at PSBC, at 2pm on  Saturday 5th August.

New Wine – Shepton Mallett

If anyone is interested in visiting New Wine for a day, speak to Rachel Cunningham, who can give you further information.

Chair Repair

Could anyone spare a couple of hours to check all the red chairs, some of the back tops need gluing down, and some of the seats need longer screws put in them.  Contact the Church Office if you can help.

Notices

Please remember to send all notices to the Church Office by 10 am each Thursday morning, or by email to psbchurch@tiscali.co.uk.  If they arrive later they may not get in for that week!  Thank you.                                                      Debbie.

Re:act 2006 – Tuesday 1st August

We thought you might like to know what goes on during the day of Re:act, so here’s a taster:

6pm – the Crusaders Re:act Team arrive and have their evening meal, followed by a service for the team, and anyone from PSBC who would also like to attend.

9pm approx – the Re:act team depart to their accommodation for the night

8am – the Crusaders Re:act team reassemble at the church for breakfast

Hosting – We would like to offer accommodation in homes for as many of the  Crusaders Team as possible.  This involves welcoming members of either the youth team, or the `road team’ of adults into your home from about 9 pm, and overnight, allowing them to shower in the morning and they will return to the church for breakfast at 8am.

See Debbie or sign up at the back of the church.
